The San Antonio Express-News crashed Al Gore’s closed speech on Saturday by having its reporter sign up as an “expo-only” AIA convention goer. But what was the point? The reporter spent most of his valuable newsprint allocation, at time spinning Al Gore’s message as if he was the man’s publicist. It’s clear from his writing that he’s drunk the Goreacle’s Kool-Aid:

Global warming is the heating of the Earth caused in large part by man-made emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases. Most scientists agree such warming and the changing climate that comes with it will likely cause a number of problems and crises this century, particularly in developing countries that have few resources to combat the effects.

These looming problems involve flooding and severe coastal erosion from rising seas and increasingly severe storms, more common and prolonged drought, and changes in the growing seasons and migration patterns of many wild species.

Not “these alleged looming problems” or “that some scientists say is caused by man-made emissions.” The Gore handlers tried to keep the media out of the speech before the architects, so I give the Express-News credit for not playing along. But they could have been a little more skeptical in their reporting.
