Greensboro City Council member Goldie Wells offers yet another reason why her constituents don’t oppose the city’s proposed 4-cent tax increase.
A couple of weeks ago, Wells said her constituents don’t oppose the tax increase because they don’t pay property taxes. Last week, Wells said they don’t mind the tax increase they “understand things are going up.”
Now, Wells says she knows they don’t care whether or not taxes go up because they don’t call her and complain.
I just wish Wells would come right out and say she doesn’t oppose the tax increase instead of putting on her constituents, no matter how tuned out they might be.
