The guy CMPD says stole video game systems from a kids cancer treatment center has been convicted six times of felonies, including indecent liberties with a child in 1999. In addition to the felony convictions between May 1999 and May 2007, Charles Everett Hinton has been charged with five additional felonies and four misdemeanors since then, according to online records.
In September Hinton was charged with living within 1000 feet of a daycare center as a sex offender, a felony. He bonded out of the Mecklenburg County jail after about 10 days on that charge.
In the video game theft Hinton stands charged with two felonies and a misdemeanor.
