Supply and demand is a wonderful thing. I just paid a mere $1.52 per gallon for regular unleaded gas at the Hess station on Capital Boulevard near downtown Raleigh. My bill was just under $25. That same transaction cost more than two-and-a-half times that amount not long ago.
