The full criminal justice history of Alvin Alexander, 34, is only hinted at with a run-down of his convictions. In fact, Mecklenburg County arrest records show five arrests since his October 2007 conviction for resisting a police officer, for which he received a suspended sentence, and before his arrest Friday on charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. The victim was a two-year-old in a stroller.

In December 2007 Alexander was arrested and charged with four felonies, including possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a stolen firearm. He was released from jail in early 2008. About month later in February 2008 Alexander was arrested and charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession and a probation violation. Made bond after three days. A week later he was charged again to pot possession and spent two days in jail before bonding out.

Then in July 2008 Alexander was arrested again and charged with two more pot misdemeanors, another probation violation, and a felony embezzlement charge. Alexander stayed in jail for almost two months on those charges. But in March 2010 he was arrested and charged with felony possession of stolen vehicle and immediately made a $10,000 bond.

Amias Robinson never made bond.
