Read this hilarious tirade from Hal Crowther in the Independent, which surely approaches exhausting the entire rhetorical arsenal of the New Angry Left. Along with the obligatory Nazi references and denunciations of people by appearance, Crowther fires off such descriptives as campus neo-Glicks, junior reactionaries, chronically benighted, rabble of bigots and mouth-breathers, conceptually and ethically impaired, &c., &c. “Hate sells,” he writes, full of unintended irony.

Oh, and it leads with fond sighs for the America of the 1930s (another one for my socialists-hate-plenitude theorem). Very entertaining stuff.
