President
The Charlotte Observer endorses Kerry.
The Winston-Salem Journal endorses no one.
The Greenville Daily Reflector gives the nod to Kerry.

Council of State
The Winston-Salem Journal endorses Democrats Richard Moore for state treasurer, Ralph Campbell for state auditor, Elaine Marshall for secretary of state, Jim Long for insurance commissioner, and Roy Cooper for attorney general. It endorses Republicans Bill Fletcher for state superintendent of public instruction, Cherie Berry for labor commissioner, and Steve Troxler for agriculture commissioner.

Amendment One (Tax-Increment Financing)
The Charlotte Observer says yes.
The Winston-Salem Journal says yes.
The Fayetteville Observer says yes.
The Greenville Daily Reflector says yes.
The Business Journal of Charlotte says yes.
Durham Herald Sun says yes with reservations.

State Appeals Courts
The Winston-Salem Journal endorses Democrats for two Supreme Court seats and three Court of Appeals seats, though technically the positions are now nonpartisan.
