The Senate voted on the third reading of the budget. There is an interesting rule in the Senate where members can “pair” to cancel each other’s votes. They normally do this when a member is absent. The two members who voted “no” yesterday paired with two absent members who voted “no”: Eddie Goodall (R-Mecklenberg) paired with Linda Garrou (D-Forsth) and Andrew Brock (R-Davie) paired with Marc Basnight (D-Dare).

There was no debate on the bill today.
