In North Carolina, Swansboro to be exact. And to make it extra special, it’s not just any old mullet festival but rather the official state mullet festival, as established by the General Assembly. Oh, and we are talking about the fish here, not the hair cut. I know that may disappoint some of you.
Speaking of the General Assembly apparently having too much time on its hands, in the same piece of legislation, it established not one but rather two official state liver much festivals: the Shelby Liver Mush Festival as the state’s official fall liver much festival and the Marion Liver Mush Festival as the state’s official spring liver mush festival.
And you wonder why politicians get no respect?
