Back in May of last year, I was up in Connecticut for my cousin’s wedding. Afterwards my father and I went over to New Britain and had a blast at a Rock Cats AA minor league baseball game. (Fourth row, behind home plate, with the major league scouts sitting a row behind us.) Alas, there are no more New Britain Rock Cats as Hartford — which is located all of 15 miles away — has lured the team away with a new stadium in what is suppose to be a key element of that city’s economic redevelopment.
