Can’t be! Those of us who warned for years that Charlotte would face an arts performance funding shortfall as ever-more public money was directed to building more arts venues were written off as kooks and cranks.
One final question: If $11m. represents the annual ceiling the Arts and Science Council can raise for the foreseeable future, how should that money be split between venue operations and performances?
