An extraneous comment from the Asheville Downtown Commission made its way into the staff report for a conditional use permit. It reads:
A concern exists that the press had or would not in the future, covered the event accurately; and additionally the press may not be encouraged to act as a civic partners in the Downtown Master Planning process. Members discussed how to improve the relationship between the press, the community, and the plan; and how to disseminate information on the positive outcomes of the plan.
