Victorious Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss is urging the GOP to return to its conservative roots, reports the Associated Press:
Chambliss beat Democrat Jim Martin 57 percent to 43 percent Tuesday to win a second term in the Senate, denying Democrats there a filibuster-proof majority.
On Wednesday, he told reporters he expects his campaign to be a model for Republicans looking to regroup in 2010 after losing the presidency and House and Senate seats this year.
