Today the N&R’s Allen Johnson says he’s hearing about a Greensboro Chamber of Commerce trip to Birmingham, seat of Jefferson County, which filed a Chapter 9 petition in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in 2011 after accumulating $4.23 billion in debt.
So if local leaders come back talking about a Taj Mahal of sewer systems, don’t listen.
Don’t laugh, either –municipal government groupthink is very real.
