In an excellent Mises Daily Article Professor T. Norman Van Cott discusses the important topic, “Why Politicians Sell Out.” His conclusion flies in the face of much wishful thinking: “Better public-sector outcomes must wait not upon better people, but upon a better system that does not permit some to live at others’ expense.”
He is absolutely right.
