Stupid people tend to self-identify. TV executives know this; in fact, they base entire shows on the stupid, from those who accept invitations to be on “Jerry Springer” to those who volunteer to humiliate themselves on “Blind Date” and their families on “Nanny 911.” Self-identification is a stupid trait that can easily be exploited.
For example, N.C. could put a line on the tax form: “Stupid? __Yes __No.” Further down the form would state, “If you checked ‘Yes’ on line x, add” say, $200.
