Update: Adams blames the media:
“If there were some problems, my pledge is we’ll fix it,” Adams said Thursday. She was critical of reporters who asked her about the statement the foundation issued.
“My real problem with the press is that you all don’t quote things accurately,” Adams said. She later said that some media accounts — she did not single out any specific one — had gotten aspects of the foundation story wrong.
