I hate protests, but I can certainly relate to how it feels when the powers that be are totally unresponsive and there seems no other recourse. I don’t think we’re there yet, but I felt really good to hear that Dr. Carl Mumpower and Chad Nesbitt yanked a pro-police rally they had scheduled for today off the municipal calendar. Instead, the conservative duo who seek to educate through outrageous public displays, asked the public to show their appreciation to the defenders of the public peace with small, quiet tokens of appreciation, like smiles, words of thanks, or even Christmas cards. They also like cookies, and they have an expensive Homeland Security GC machine to chemically analyze them and bust you if you try anything funny. So put your neighbor’s fingerprints on the baggies.
