Mark Leibovich’s new book about D.C. politics contains this item, according to the Washington Post, which the book says occurred as Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) prepared to take over the chairmanship of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
According to Leibovich, former Obama deputy press secretary Bill Burton and suggested the reporter look into Issa’s past.
