The N.C. State Bar finally has decided that former Gov. Mike Easley is a sleaze. It took them long enough. Glad they could fit that into their busy schedule:

The North Carolina State Bar filed a formal disciplinary complaint Wednesday against former Gov. Mike Easley after he was convicted last year on a campaign finance-related felony, alleging the criminal offense shows “professional unfitness” under Bar rules.

The governing body for the state’s lawyers issued the complaint nearly a year after the two-term Democratic governor agreed to have his law license suspended while the Bar reviewed his case.
