This time a year and usually around Christmas it usually becomes a top priority to go Rabbit Hunting in Western North Carolina. To be honest I’m a sorry marksman, and so the rabbits usually have a safe chance to live when I’m out there. The fun of rabbit hunting isn’t the thrill of killing a rabbit but watching and listening to beagles plow through the woods. What is even more fun is having a big pack dogs barking at the top of lungs running through somebody?s yard real early on a Saturday morning, you can imagine that kind of wake up call. Some folks aren’t happy, but normally don’t talk back because the people that are following the beagles have loaded shotguns.

I had the opportunity to attend that Wildlife Resources Commission meeting last week out at Centennial Campus at their Headquarters. The big debate was the Sunday Hunting issue.
