Other than the cold and an even worse hockey team, Toronto might be an appealing alternative for Carolinians looking for freedom. Print-to-order book publisher Lulu, based in Raleigh, has chosen to make its initial public offering in Canada instead of New York, where regulation is too stringent to raise money.
