In my opinion, the tax increase is THE last resource. I want and prefer tax cut in these economic times. We are not too sure about Wachovia’s deal. Most of my District 1 is in suburbia and this will effect than other Districts. With raising CRIME in District 1 and with more tax increases I do not believe the “tax re-evaluation” will help at all to sell houses.
Again, as I said in my many forums, that the County is just like a Corporation. The Corporations work very hard to find a ways to in these tough times and reduce and/or any unnecessary items that are not required immediately. Similarly, the County MUST find ways to cut the costs that are not required immediately and find Federal grants as needed
I strongly oppose this “tax re-evaluation” at this time.
