You remember Grayson Perry, the British artist who admitted he censors himself so he won’t be beheaded by Muslims. Well, not all British artists are afraid to create art that slanders and blasphemes. Take, for instance, Terence Koh, whose work has enraged believers. But these believers are Christians and Koh’s work is a statue of Jesus with an erect penis.

The UPI reporter covering the story feigns ignorance about what Koh’s sculpture represents:

Its not clear what the statue was meant to be, but a gallery spokesman said the Chinese-born artist was apparently “trying to explain all the things which have meant something to him.”

One thing is clear, though. Koh is not afraid of being beheaded or having his throat slit by enraged Christians. It’s only the Religion of Peace that has British artists quaking in their boots.
