Several thoughts pop up regarding the little light rail open house CATS had over the weekend:
- How many of the over 500 who went took the bus to get there?
- Ron Tober tells WCNC that CATS will run the trains even without the half-cent transit tax money. Really? There really is no stopping these folks, is there?
- Funny how CATS gets to define what is big deal and what is not. A $97 million jump in the North line cost? Not a big deal. Open a transit facility? Big deal.
- Wonder if the gathering of the tribes in Cornelius on Wednesday will even hear that the total cost to taxpayers for the North line is $358 million? Nah.
Update: Here’s the agenda for the Gathering of the Tribes in Cornelius Wednesday afternoon.
