Not that there is much to choose among the Democratic candidates when it comes to class warfare rhetoric (although Iowans preferred those who deliver it without foaming at the mouth), but Kerry and Edwards are emphatically not friendly towards people in (or who’d like to be in) what John Hood calls “the investor class.” Larry Kudlow’s NRO column today is a very clear-eyed look at the two who look like the new frontrunners. Whomever eventually wins the nomination will no doubt play the envy card again and again, trying to hornswoggle the guilt-ridden affluent and envious poor into supporting a redistributionist, “let’s grow the federal government” agenda.
