Well, at least a free ballon ride, one hopes.
Recall that Sir Richard Branson promised $25 million to anyone who could reduce carbon emissions by 1 billion metric tons a year. The Charlotte Capitalist notes that were the United States to go totally nuclear for power generation — that’s nuke-ler in Dubya-speak — that would cut carbon emissions by 708 million metric tons a year.
Not quite a billion, but a good start. Funny how none of the global warning fanatics like this solution. Maybe, just maybe, that is because it does not require a zero-sum, centrally planned, anti-freedom directive to achieve it.
Liberalism/progressivism/socialism needs a new secular “sin” so that man can repent by living less well and full of guilt and remorse. Global warming fits the bill just perfectly.
