US News recently calculated the “misery index” of airports nationwide and CLT came in near the top. In sum, CLT has a ton of full flights many of which are not on time. It all adds up to not a fun time.
To their credit, airport officials seem to not so much spinning the findings as trying to fix the passenger experience the best they can. Besides, the on-time issue is primarily a function of the airlines.
