Bannon reads from Joe Cheshire’s letter excoriating Nifong for condemning his client in the media but refusing to talk to him in person.
Now playing a WRAL report where Nifong says he believes a sexual assault occurs and Cheshire is also interviewed to counter his remarks. Nifong says his actions have nothing to do with his upcoming DA’s election.
The audio was not good, so they’re playing it again. I wish they were showing Nifong’s face. From all accounts, he hates Joseph Blount Cheshire V. Cheshire says people should hold on and reserve judgment. Nifong says he was “appalled” by what happened at the house that night.
This interview came a day after the letter from Cheshire that was sent on March 30.
They have now recessed until 9 a.m. tomorrow morning.
