It looks like the private sector has gotten the jump on the Lee Street makeover. The presence of Granite Development says quite a bit, but so does Parker Washburn’s decision to keep Leon’s Beauty School in the neighborhood. The question is whether or not the City of Greensboro’s plans for the corridor had any effect on their plans.
Perhaps if the city really cracks down on crime along Lee Street, the rest will take care of itself.
