This is a farce.
City Manager Curt Walton gives Mayor Anthony Foxx a full-time spokesperson slot from within the city manager’s office headcount and — shazam! — Anthony Foxx is suddenly no longer remotely interested in asking any more questions of Curt Walton or Rodney Monroe in the matter of Marcus Jackson.
Oh, and Foxx’s fellow Democrats on city council do not like the mayor’s office getting this executive perk. The inter-governmental power play angle bothers them, but not the bribery in plain sight. The Republicans?
Who cares? They are useless.
