Not to pour too much reality on things, but does CMS understand it is recruiting teachers from one of the worst performing districts in the country? Does it care?

Last USA Today looked at big city schools districts and found that Detroit had the lowest on-time graduation rate in the country. CMS’ was 56 percent in that survey — a misleadingly high number we now know. But what do you think Detroit’s was? 40%? 30%? Try 21 percent.

And CMS is hiring the teachers Detroit lays off.

I would love to know the salaries these teachers are pulling down from CMS.
