According to Education Week‘s Diplomas Count 2011 study, 25 school systems “account for one in every five nongraduates nationwide for the class of 2011.” Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) just makes the list with 4,787 projected nongraduates. New York City and Los Angeles public schools top the list with 39,669 and 35,568 projected nongraduates, respectively.
