As we all know, higher education is the economic engine of the state — Jim Hunt used to tell us it is. If that’s so, we might worry that we’ll be running out of steam before long. This article from the Greensboro News&Record about the books students are assigned to read and the courses they take at UNCG doesn’t exactly make you think of trains whizzing along.

But it’s good to know that students appreciate it when professors break away from “dusty academic tradition to find their texts.”
