Don’t get me wrong, I think Billy Yow does fine as a Guilford County commissioner, but he’s more than a little rough around the edges and the thought of him representing North Carolina in the halls of Congress is somewhat unsettling.
A better choice might be Steve Arnold, who’s giving up his commissioners seat in order to resolve his bankruptcy issues. Hey, that’s what we do here in Greensboro —- after someone washes out in local office, we elect them to higher officer. State Reps. Earl Jones and Don Vaughan are prime examples.
