How much pigment is in your skin, and do I really care? It’s aggravating how the press reinforces xenophobic (and misandrous) psychoses. In this enlightened age, do people really demand assistance from only their kind when they’re in harm’s way? Am I really supposed to believe that people in this country illegally are afraid of the cops because they think cops are corrupt? Were offenders interested in avoiding penalty, they would want the cops to be corrupt.

People also get political kicks from dorking around with the race card, mistaking it for a get out of jail free card. Sammy Davis, Jr. used to sing, “Don’t do the crime, if you can’t do the time.” Nothing has changed.

My position remains in favor of more sensible immigration laws that let in more people wanting to embrace liberty and a productive lifestyle. Less welfare in America would do more to lessen the economic pressure than any wall.
