From WRAL:

Black’s attorneys hope for commuted sentence

RALEIGH, N.C. ? Attorneys for former House Speaker Jim Black say he’s served enough time for a political corruption conviction.

The disgraced former speaker is ready to get on with his life, his attorneys said Wednesday.

Once out of prison, Black will immediately take a six-month leave from NC State University at his last state salary of $750,000 (the figure includes supplemental income).

Afterwards, Black will assuming duties teaching political science at the normal salary for that position, which university officials assure us is a fate worse than being hounded out of Raleigh, no, really, and they mean that.

OK, so I made that last part up. Your challenge is to figure out when the made-up part begins. See, it’s getting tougher to tell nowadays.
