Was the Fort Hood massacre
a terrorist attack? Could the reason for all the controversy simply be because
the mode of attack resembled Columbine, rather than a typical attack in
downtown Televave? For example, what if Nidal Malik Hasan did the same amount
of damage, killing 14 (including one unborn baby) and wounding 30, not with
handguns but by walking into the same room, yelling Allahu Akbar as he did,
with explosives around his chest and blowing himself up? Would anyone have even
suggested that it was anything but an attack by an Islamic terrorist?
