Right down Interstate 40, Forsyth County Manager Dudley Watts’ budget recommends a (relatively modest) 4-cent tax hike, “with 3 cents of the increase dedicated to paying off $275 million in school bonds that voters approved last year and 1.1 cents to pay for new services and programs.”

Guilford County voters will more than likely have to decide if they want to pass another school bond on top of a 10 percent tax increase.
