If you didn’t know, this is crossover week at the legislature. This means that if a bill hasn’t been passed by at least one chamber by Thursday, the bill can’t be considered the rest of this session or even next year during the short session. There are some exceptions to this rule.
This deadline is why there is such a flurry of activity at the legislature this week.
