Witt: Person should be able to make a mistake and learn from it.
Williamson: We don’t give lawyers a pass on stealing clients’ money just because they went 30 years without stealing any money.
Witt: These are egregious mistakes but not intentional egregious mistakes. “I’m not asking for a mulligan” for Mr. Nifong. “We aren’t denying it,” we know we’re going to the second phase.
