WBTV’s Tom Roussey has done a great job of exposing continued lax standards at the NC DMV.
Basically, if you live on the East Coast and cannot get a license plate or registration for your car — perhaps you are an illegal alien or otherwise lack proper documentation — come to North Carolina and get a illegal plate.
This has some folks who lived through the 9/11 attacks — and lost loved ones — wondering if the next terror attack will come with a North Carolina license tag attached.
Update: Here’s Tom’s latest story in which he goes to an abandoned house in Zebulon — the address given by 37 people living in New Jersey, but rolling in cars with NC tags registered to the abandoned house!
