The 2014 campaign season has begun.
Republican David Rouzer of Johnston County told The Insider that he would announce his candidacy officially next week. Rouzer lost to McIntyre by 654 votes of the more than 336,000 cast. He conceded following recounts in the southeastern North Carolina district, but left the door open for a repeat campaign.
