Pretty bold of the Winston-Salem Journal to speak for “the people of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County” in this letter begging Caterpillar to build a manufacturing plant. Seems like letters begging companies to set up shop have become commonplace in local papers of record. Witness N&R columnist Jeri Rowe’s letter to Google a few months back.
Commenter “LindseyGraham” (not the senator, I assume) says the “editorial was going in the right direction until the Journal Staff tried to brag on our community leaders. Then, I busted out laughing.”
Funny, I was telling someone just the other that when I rag on the leadership here in G’boro, I remind myself I could be living in W-S.
