Most now believe that WMD’s won’t be found, but if Saddam’s scientists deceived him into thinking he still had WMDs, isn’t that almost the same thing as having them? If that is true, then he obviously planned to keep them for nefarious purposes.
Also, if that is true, then those deceptive scientists must have been out of their minds, to risk ending up dead because they betrayed Saddam. What would be their motive?
