Flopping a photo is a big no-no in newspapers. Photojournalists have conniption fits if an editor accidentally flops one of their photos. Doing it on purpose is considered journalistic fraud.

The New York Times flopped a photo of Barack Obama giving his Berlin speech the other day. Warner Todd Huston at NewsBusters wonders if this was really a mistake or was there another motive?
