Rather, advocates for more efficiency in government will be hanging out at post offices throughout the city to help people, who felt they could better use the interest on their hard-earned money than the government, connect with others who share their feelings.
In past years, groups like FreedomWorks and the Libertarian Party of Buncombe County made a habit of greeting people who owed the government money April 15 at the Coxe Avenue post office. One year, activist Bill Lack, who worked at a costume shop, even procured Grim Reaper outfits. Come to think of it, “Don’t Fear the Reaper” has been playing a whole lot on the radio this week.
