Witt is now trying to show that Mangum must have been given a date-rape drug, though there is no evidence of this, and he knows it. This is really unconscionable. He also didn’t point out that Mangum had no bruises consistent with a rape, nor did he mention that the SANE nurse’s examination was botched and biased.
It seems, from hearing Witt, that we’re back to Mangum as a chaste single mother just trying to get through college by being forced by society to strip for racist white college students. Of course, we all know the truth now, so this is just time wasting, but time wasting with the intent to smear the innocent.
