The alleged victim in the Duke lacrosse sexual assault and kidnapping case has yet again changed her story. She told Durham DA Mike Nifong’s chief investigator Linwood Wilson that the rape occurred much earlier in the evening than she has alleged since the party on March 13-14, 2006, which puts her latest version of the story at odds with phone logs of Reade Seligmann and time stamps on photos taken at the party.

And yet again Durham DA Mike Nifong, knowing full well that this change blows much of the case even further out of the water, kept this to himself until it was eked out of documents by the defense. He made no mention of it the day he dropped the rape charges as a result of this very same interview.

There can be no doubt that Nifong just simply can’t play it straight with the facts of this case. He’s acting like a petulant child.

UPDATE: As usual, KC Johnson dissects the latest version with laser-like precision, calling it an anatomy of a frameup. It’s not a pretty sight.
