One can only hope that the Internationalist is next.
I DON’T, however, want the Lawrence Ferlinghetti’s City Lights Bookstore to meet a similar fate. I have a soft spot in my heart for the Beats of the 1950’s…for some reason. I grew up admiring Beat writers (who are very different from the New Left writers who came after) and made a pilgrimage to that store once.
